Standard by the China Automotive Technology Research Center, National Rehabilitation Centre for Quality Supervision, Inspection and equipment, and other units responsible for drafting a joint, is China's first on people with a driving assist device product standards. Standards for the physically disabled motorists for the manipulation of devices supporting the classification, models, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, logos, packaging, transportation, storage, and so on. Technical requirements which include a chapter on the basic requirements of assistive devices and installation requirements, the auxiliary handle the steering wheel control, brake and accelerate, to signal to the car braking, and so the requirements of assistive devices and mechanical strength, appearance quality requirements.

Standards applicable to allow the installation of in our country on the road in the automatic transmission of passenger cars, and driving a motor vehicle for the physically disabled to use the manipulation of assistive devices. The publication and implementation of the disabled motorists will assist device development and production of a regulating and promoting the role, but also to assist people with driving a motor vehicle based on a detection device.
